Forensic Psychologist and Clinical Lead
Meagan Jurkiewicz

Megz utilises a positive psychology framework offering a caring compassionate, non-judgemental approach encompassing a person-centred focus. Utilising innovative interventions based on the latest research and technology, Megz enjoys working with youth & young adults aged 12 to 30 years who may be experiencing a range of barriers such as anxiety, self-esteem, depression, mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, self-harming / suicidal tendencies, behaviour disorders and complex criminality. She has a special interest in working with adolescent and young women’s mental health. Megz has qualifications In criminality and forensic mental health - working across a number of settings such as correctional centres. She has represented a number of organisations as key note speaker in areas such as drug and alcohol, complex mental health and criminality. She has worked in executive and clinical management roles for both government and non government environments. Megz is also a board registered psychology supervisor. Megz philosophy in psychology and counselling is empowerment - empowering the client through their journey to reach their desired goals.

General Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar
Anna
BSc(Hons) BPsySc MCP MAPS
Anna is a General Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is currently completing her Clinical Psychology Registrar Program. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), with additional postgraduate qualifications in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Human Services (Disability). Anna works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and adjustment difficulties, and has experience supporting individuals navigating life transitions, health-related challenges, and complex psychosocial stressors. She has worked across the lifespan and with people from diverse cultural backgrounds in hospital, mental health and community settings. Anna’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and person-centred. She draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Behaviour Support strategies. Her work is grounded in helping clients build emotional awareness, self-compassion, and practical skills to manage distress and move toward meaningful, values-based change. Anna has a particular interest in animal assisted therapy and the human–animal bond, having focused her Master’s thesis on the psychological benefits of animal companionship for older adults. Prior to working as a psychologist, she spent many years in the disability sector and was also a professional dog trainer, running puppy preschool programs as a Delta-accredited trainer - experience that continues to inform her compassionate and strengths-based approach to care.

Angelica (pronounced An-HEL-ica)

Angelica has worked with people across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing a wide range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, stress management, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenges associated with neurodiversity. Angelica utilises a person-centred therapeutic approach to assist individuals in identifying their strengths and navigating their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She provides a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel validated and empowered. By highlighting their strengths and validating their experiences, Angelica supports her clients in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals. She takes great joy in seeing her clients grow and develop resilience. Angelica believes that a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is essential for effective therapy. She applies an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other therapeutic frameworks.

Aria
BPsych(Hons), MPsych(Clin)
Aria is a general psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Clinical Registrar. Having completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical), he focuses on providing a supportive space for clients to work through their challenges. He believes that the heart of good therapy begins with a genuine, collaborative relationship. Aria enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan, supporting people of all ages as they navigate the various chapters and transitions of their lives. His therapeutic interests include supporting individuals through anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties. He utilises a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Aria strives to have an approach that is warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental, working collaboratively at a pace that feels safe for the individual. Outside of the clinic, Aria is an avid Manchester City fan, though he promises not to let any Premier League rivalries get in the way of a good therapy session.

Callum
BPsych(Hons), BA (BehavSc)
Callum is a Generally Registered Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI). Callum gained his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Queensland, where he completed a research thesis on the relationship between pets and child empathy development. Following his graduation, Callum went on to complete further study in complementary fields to expand his clinical scope, including a Diploma of Nutrition and Certificate of Engaging in Behaviour Support Practices. Callum has a wealth of experience in the field of complex behaviour, meeting the NDIS capability requirements to be considered an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner. Callum works to implement a range of behaviour modalities in a client-centered, neurodiverse affirming, transtheoretical approach. Callum is skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Callum is also trained in the delivery of role-play based "geek therapy" where tabletop role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons can be used as a safe and approachable practice space for the development of imporant skills and learning how to overcome challenges. Though our pups here at WAG lack the thumbs needed to roll dice, they are more than happy to get involved in inspiring your character creation and role-play decisions! Callum believes that when working with others, it is important to be able to share in the things that matter to them - and so he is constantly working to build on and broaden his understanding of not just the psychological challenges that clients face, but the parts of their life from which they draw meaning. He believes the therapeutic relationship is one of teamwork, meaning that both the navigation of set-backs and celebration of progress should be shared between client and clinician (and dog).

Enna
MPsych(Ed&Dev) BPsySc(Hons) BPsySc GrapDipEd(EC) MAPS
Enna is a General Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). She completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Enna has also completed a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood). Enna has experience working with children and parents through her career as a primary school teacher. She also enjoys working with adolescents and adults. With a mix of professional training and personal life experience, Enna works with anxiety, depression, stress, development, behavioural and emotional difficulties, parenting, life transitions, and self-esteem. Enna is aware that coming to therapy is not an easy decision and so she tries to create a warm and comfortable environment to work with you to obtain your goals. Enna focuses on a client centred approach and works at your pace. She uses aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and therapy using play.

Senior Psychologist
Loren
BA (Psych), BA Honours (Psych)
Loren is a General Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has over twenty years of experience in engaging with children, young people and adults in a multitude of therapeutic settings including out-of-home care, early intervention settings, in-home therapy, not-for-profit organisations in the child protection sector, and private practice. Loren is also a Psychology Board of Australia, Board Approved Supervisor. Loren believes that clients should look forward to coming to therapy sessions - even if there is a little worry mixed in. Working in partnership with clients (and their families), Loren is dedicated to ensuring that therapeutic interventions are delivered in a way that is both what the client wants and what the client needs, to create meaningful change. Sessions with Loren include ideas from a range of therapies, particularly Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Loren focuses on psychoeducation to build clients’ self-awareness and understanding of their challenges, combined with a strengths-based approach which allows clients to identify their resources and realise great things about who they are and what they can do.

Paola
BPsySc(Hons) G.Dip(Psych), MCJC, MAPS(Assoc)
Paola is a General Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). She completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Santiago, Chile (2005), and a Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice in Brisbane, Australia (2011). In addition to these, she also completed several post graduate diplomas related to modern childhood and adolescence behavioural issues and learned the systemic family approach strategies. Paola's experience in Australia and overseas is broad and diverse. She has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings, including private practice, aged-care facilities, and correction services. Paola takes an integrated approach to therapy based on an individual’s goals and needs, drawing from a range of evidenced based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Motivational Interviewing. Paola speaks fluent English and Spanish. She is passionate about helping others, bringing warmth and compassion in her approach and giving her clients the tools and techniques to empower them to make positive changes by working through their challenges to achieve their goals.

Jay is a general psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Clinical Registrar. Psychology is a late career choice for Jay followed by careers in international aid and development, housing advocacy for people with brain injuries, crisis support, professional musician, and a very long time ago… helicopter pilot. Jay often reflects that people are amazing, and with the right assistance can improve their lives. He believes a meaningful and authentic relationship with a therapist is the engine room of what brings about healing. The creation of a safe environment allows for curious exploration of one’s life that makes way for hope that things can change. Jay’s therapeutic interests are across the life span in areas such as relationship difficulties, traumatic life experiences, anxiety and low mood, grief and life transitions, unique stressors impacting creative professionals, parenting stressors, low motivation and self-esteem, and personality vulnerabilities. He is informed by a range of therapies such as schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and solutions focused therapy. Jay’s approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental; he welcomes people from all walks of life.
