Our 
Story

W.A.G. Therapeutic Service is on the lookout for passionate Psychologists to join our growing practice, where therapy is supported by the power of trained therapy dogs.

 

We use Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) and Animal Assisted Play Therapy™, supporting children, teens and adults in a warm, engaging, and playful environment. If you’re excited about using innovative approaches to make therapy more effective (and more enjoyable), we’d love to hear from you.

As a Psychologist at WAG:

  • Work alongside our trained therapy dogs (they’re paid in pats)

  • Manageable caseload of 23.5 clients per week (for 1.0 FTE)

  • One day per week work from home for admin

  • Large, beautifully appointed consulting rooms

  • Full-time reception and admin support to keep your focus on your clients

  • Training in Animal Assisted Therapy and Animal Assisted Play Therapy™

  • AHPRA approved Supervision & ongoing Professional Development (during paid work hours)

  • Clinical Registrars are supported to complete their Clinical Endorsement through the PREP program

  • Strong referral base and ongoing caseload

  • Career growth opportunities within a growing practice

  • Competitive remuneration (from $110,000 plus super for an Early Career Psycholgist)
